Every week, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

This week, all the legends come from issues of Daredevil drawn by Joe Quesada!

These were all suggested by reader Valentijn G. Thanks, Valentijn!

First off, in Daredevil #6, Daredevil visits "Ennis' Tavern," where we see Jesse Custer, from Garth Ennis' Preacher series, at the bar (they are all drinking Dillon Ale, of course, as a reference to Steve Dillon, artist on Preacher)...

The next time Daredevil goes to the Tavern in #13, Jesse is now wearing the eye patch he wore from Preacher #41 to the end of the series...

Quesada also put two nice nods to Kevin Smith, the original writer of Daredevil Volume 2.

First, Matt Murdock and Echo go to see Smith's film, Mallrats in #11...

And later, in #13, while investigating Echo, Matt visits a familiar video rental establishment from the Smith film, Clerks...

Great stuff from Quesada (and inker Jimmy Palmiotti, and writers Kevin Smith on the first bit and David Mack on the next three)!

Okay, that is it for this week! Thanks for all the neat suggestions, Valentijn!!
