Comic Book Easter Eggs – Day Two of Kingdom Come Easter Eggs!

by  in Comic News Comment

All throughout July, I will be sharing with you three comic book “easter eggs” a day. An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check ’em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far!

You all wrote in with so many Kingdom Come suggestions that I figured it best to give it two days’ worth of easter eggs! So here are three of the easter eggs from Alex Ross and Mark Waid’s classic work…

Both Da Fug and Bill K. wrote in suggesting the cameos of the “Cosby Kids” from Bill Cosby’s Fat Albert showing up as criminals in Kingdom Come #1…

Thanks for the e-mailed suggestions, guys!

In Kingdom Come #2, we meet the Village People as a superhero team…

In Kingdom Come #3, in Superman’s prisons for metahumans, we meet Columbia and Riff Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture Show…

There are plenty more easter eggs from Kingdom Come. I’ll have to post them some other time, though!
