Comic Book Easter Eggs – Day One of Kingdom Come Easter Eggs!

by  in Comic News Comment

All throughout July, I will be sharing with you three comic book “easter eggs” a day. An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check ’em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far!

You all wrote in with so many Kingdom Come suggestions that I figured it best to give it two days’ worth of easter eggs! So here are three of the easter eggs from Alex Ross and Mark Waid’s classic work…

Luke T. e-mailed me to suggest Hollis Mason’s book, Under the Hood, from Watchmen, is visible in a store window in Kingdom Come #1.

The other books are Easter Eggs, as well. Can you name the significance of them?

Craig C. e-mailed me to suggest another Watchmen easter egg, Rorschach’s appearance in Kingdom Come #2…

Finally, Alek e-mailed me to suggest Captain America, Spider-Man and Thor appearing in Kingdom Come #3…

(note: they are really tiny so I made it so you can enlarge the image by clicking on it).

Thanks for all the e-mailed suggestions, fellas!

Come back tomorrow for MORE Kingdom Come easter eggs!
