All throughout July, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs" a day. An easter egg is an in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far!

Quite a Honeymoon!

In 1994's X-Men #30, Jean Grey and Scott Summers got married...

Soon after, they appear in Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S. #8...

Very sweet tribute by Lee.

Thanks to sylar wesker for the suggestion!

Bathroom-Related Sound Effects

In Alan Davis' Excalibur #43, the team is trying to make due with their alien house guests, but it is difficult...

Note the effect on page 2 - "Ba-Throom! "

Very clever (and yes, as you might imagine, he was NOT lying about what happened in the bathroom, as we discover later on)

Thanks to Jeff Ryan for suggesting this one!

King Arthur Making the Rounds

In the nifty Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression mini-series from a couple of years ago (written by Scott Lobdell and drawn by Ilias Kyriazis), Ray is stuck in the time of King Arthur.

Here they are...

Note King Arthur. Besides the different coloring used, it is the same King Arthur from Mike Barr and Brian Bolland's legendary Camelot 3000...

Cute stuff.

If you can think of an easter egg/in-joke that you would like to see me feature, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com! DON'T make suggestions in the comments section, so as to not spoil the surprise for when I end up actually featuring your suggestion.
