Every week, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! Today, all the easter eggs are from issues of Star Wars Tales!

Writer Kevin Rubio and Artist Lucas Marangon had a clever story in Star Wars Tales #7 that parodied the diner sequence in Pulp Fiction with Mace Windu and Yoda at a diner. The whole story had various characters eating at the restaurant in the background, but this splash page when the criminals (who don't know what they've gotten themselves into by robbing this particular restaurant) burst in is probably the best, as it has George Lucas, the Beatles (from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band) and Buzz Lightyear, among many other folks!

Very cute.

In Star Wars Tales #3, in a story written by Rich Handley and Darko Macan and drawn by Chris Brunner, we see another Dark Horse character in a background panel as Hellboy sneaks into the story...

Finally, in Star Wars Tales #6, in a story by Mark Evanier and Sergio Aragones, C-3PO ends up at a junkyard (he thinks R2-D2 is there - he is not). However, a cantankerous robot from Futurama HAS ended up there. See if you can find him!

And if you don't know what robot I'm talking about....well, then the bit really isn't going to interest you, now is it?
