Colman Domingo will reprise his role as Victor Strand as a series regular on the second season of "Fear the Walking Dead," AMC's "The Walking Dead" spinoff (via The Hollywood Reporter). Described as "a smart and sophisticated man with a mysterious past," Strand was last seen leading main characters Madison Clark, Travis Manawa and their families to his yacht right off the coast.

Further, AMC also announced "Fear the Walking Dead" would move production to Baja, Mexico. The show's sophomore season will run for 15 episodes and take place on both land and sea as Strand takes on a larger role.

"We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico," showrunner Dave Erickson said in a statement. "Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the Fear saga."

"Fear the Walking Dead" was co-created by "The Walking Dead's" Robert Kirkman and Erickson and stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Mercedes Mason and more. No season two premiere date has yet been announced.
