The following contains spoilers for Cobra Kai Season 5, now streaming on Netflix.

Season 5 of Cobra Kai definitely proved to be a game-changer for Daniel and Johnny's charges. After feuding for so long, it became clear to almost everyone how toxic Terry Silver was, so they had no choice but to unite. Terry did a brilliant job, after all, marketing his sinister dojo, spreading word across Los Angeles and even buying other karate gyms out, so the movement grew and his brand of toxicity spread like wildfire.

As Terry so succinctly put it, he wasn't interested in the Valley alone; he wanted to build a global empire. Luckily, the heroes put Terry away in the end, stemming from his crimes against Kreese. However, while that chapter seemed to be closed for now, Cobra Kai had many arcs set up to be explored in a sixth season.

Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang Have a Major Tournament Ahead

Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in Cobra Kai Season 4

Daniel's Miyagi-do and Johnny's Eagle Fang teamed up to qualify for the Sekai Taikai international karate tournament. This means they need to officially figure what's the plan moving forward. Apart from branding and the argument that'll inevitably happen over the new dojo's name, Daniel and Johnny have to train their fighters as they know global tournaments will have elite warriors. Luckily, Sam, Miguel, Hawk and Robby are meshing well, while it seems like Tory and Devon want to join up. However, it remains to be seen if Daniel, Johnny and Chozen can cope with the pressures to come, as they may push the kids too hard, too fast.

Johnny and Carmen's Family Will ExpandCobra Kai Season 5 Johnny William Zabka

Johnny got Carmen pregnant, so Season 6 can focus on him getting his personal life together. He's already started by cleaning up his apartment and child-proofing it, hinting he might take a step back from karate to focus on priorities with his expanding family. He does seem more mature now, even helping Daniel with his anger issues, but things could change if Hector (Carmen's ex) tracks Miguel down after their Mexico meeting to stir up drama. Ultimately, Johnny's going to have to be wiser and less violent moving forward to set an example, especially if he hopes to keep Carmen stress-free.

Kreese and Kim Da-Eu Could Team Up

Cobra Kai Season 5 had Kreese make a jailbreak

Kreese shockingly broke out of jail, but seeing as evidence was unearthed Terry framed him for assaulting Stingray, it's unlikely he'll go back. This sets him up to rebuild Cobra Kai with Kim Da-Eun, to honor her grandfather's legacy and build on the friendship they once shared. It's easy to see Kreese using some more of the clan's deadlier moves and finding teachers the Kim family would endorse to make Cobra Kai its most ruthless iteration ever. No matter what, Kreese has vowed to make Daniel and Johnny pay, especially after they tricked him into giving up intel on Terry.

Tory and Sam Can Fix Their Relationship

Tory Cobra Kai

This season, Tory confessed to Sam that she only won the All Valley because Terry bribed a referee. Still, she and Sam can't seem to get along, especially as Sam knew all along the trophy belonged to her. Season 6, though, could have them training and bonding, like Robby and Miguel did, to max out their full potential. The series could even bring in The Next Karate Kid's Julie Pierce to mentor them, as well as Devon, creating a strong sisterhood together.

The Karate Kid 3's Barnes Could Return

Mike Barnes in Cobra Kai Season 5.

Mike Barnes made some brief appearances in Season 5, culminating in him helping beat up Terry's goons. This solidified his words to Daniel about how he sought redemption after being a monster in the past. Seeing as Terry burned his furniture store down, Barnes could work with Daniel on the business front, whether it's at the car dealership or a new furniture venture. More so, as they have a good rapport, Barnes would be ideal to help train the altruistic kids. Mike still has tremendous skill.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Redefine Chozen & Kumiko

Chozen was secretly in love with Kumiko all these years, even leaving her a voicemail stating he'd like to meet when he gets back to Japan. This positions Season 6 to change their relationship. Admittedly, Chozen has matured a lot, but he still has some flaws to work out. However, he really came through for Daniel's team as a mentor and friend, so Daniel may end up playing matchmaker for two people who've been so instrumental in his life. This can allow Kumiko a bigger role in the show, maybe even using her connections to help find other teachers and fighters for Miyagi-do to train with. Such a direction would bring this Karate Kid II love triangle full-circle.

Cobra Kai Season 6 Can Give Amanda a New Purpose

Cobra Kai could have Amanda training with Daniel and healing his rage

Amanda finally found peace with Daniel and Sam's passion for karate, understanding how it helped with discipline and empowered kids against bullies. She also has unfinished business with Tory after initially chiding her for the feud with Sam. Season 4 did see Amanda try to help Tory, only to get rebuffed, as Tory felt like a charity case. Now that everyone's making amends, Amanda can try to show Tory she's a friend who'd like to help her get back on her feet. Tory has a sick mom and siblings to take care of, setting the stage for Amanda to offer a job and remind Tory she has what it takes to overcome her violent past.

Cobra Kai Season Can Make Kenny an Apex Predator

kenny cobra kai gi (1)

Kenny was Robby's apprentice, but after Robby left Cobra Kai, Kenny broke bad. He bullied Anthony (Sam's brother) even more, and almost broke Hawk with a nasty move he learned from Terry. However, after Terry was exposed, Kenny still didn't come back to Robby's side. Thus, Season 6 can have Kreese and Kim Da-Eun making him their ultimate trump card and the face of Cobra Kai. It'd be quite a seismic shift, seeing the once bullied kid turn into a badass warrior, but it'd give Hawk, Miguel and Robby a rivalry that might shock them. Most of all, it'd hurt Robby who introduced him to karate, thinking it'd help him out.
