The superhero duo of Cloak and Dagger will make their debut on Marvel's Spider-Man next month.
On Oct. 6, Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph, the stars of Freeform's Cloak and Dagger, will make the jump to Disney XD's animated Spider-Man series. However, in the aptly titled "Cloak and Dagger," it sounds as if they may be foe instead of friend. Check out the episode synopsis below:
When a new criminal duo, Cloak and Dagger, emerge at Midtown High with the plan to take revenge against Midtown's benefactor Tiberius Stone and his company Alchemax, Superior Spider-Man must take them down and protect the school.
Spider-Man has teamed up with the street-level Cloak and Dagger a number of times in the comics, and they recently played a big role in Dan Slott's run. That's not the only element from the longtime Spider-Man writer that's crossed over to the screen because, as the synopsis mentions, Peter is now the Superior Spider-Man. Though the events are a bit different from the comics, it's clear the writers are drawing plenty of inspiration from the source material.
As for the stars of Cloak and Dagger, this won't be their only crossover. Runaways and Cloak and Dagger will team up on the third season of Hulu's hit show, so it looks like Holt and Joseph will be busy this year.
The "Cloak and Dagger" episode of Marvel's Spider-Man will air Oct. 6 at 9:30 p.m. EST on Disney XD.
