Marvel has released a new teaser for the upcoming Season 2 of Marvel's Cloak & Dagger that provides fans with a closer look at Tyrone and Tandy's newest adversary, Mayhem. The teaser follows the character Brigid O'Reilly (played by Emma Lahana), who was introduced in Season 1 as a police detective who aids Tyrone Johnson in his efforts to prove that her partner, Conners, was involved in New Orleans' drug trafficking scene and responsible for the murder of Tyrone's older brother, Billy. However, when viewers last saw O'Reilly, she had been shot by Conners and exposed to the dark energy known as Terror. This strange energy gave her glowing green eyes and set her transition into Mayhem into motion. Fittingly, this new teaser, which highlights Mayhem's violent side and O'Reilly's struggle with her new dual identity, begins with the line of, "I'm not the person that I was."RELATED: Marvel's Cloak and Dagger Light Up in First Season 2 Photos

As first revealed in Cloak & Dagger Season 2's trailer and now affirmed in this teaser, the titular heroes are gearing up to take on the rampant human trafficking epidemic in their hometown. However, seemingly dissatisfied with the pair's brand of justice, Mayhem takes it upon herself to dish out much bloodier style of punishment to New Orleans' criminals. During all of this, O'Reilly must come to grips with the actions of her "other half," as it were.

In the Marvel Universe, Mayhem's abilities are focused around the venomous green gas she exudes, which has the power to paralyze her enemies, force them to tell the truth and can even destroy Dagger's light-knives. Naturally, a green energy disrupting the show's monochromatic aesthetic has been Mayhem's calling card in the various promotional material released for Cloak & Dagger Season 2.
