"Civil War II" Erupts, "Deadpool v Gambit," "Han Solo" & More in Marvel's June 2016 Solicitations

Marvel Comics has released its solicitations for June 2016, which see the publisher -- and its superheroes -- diving headfirst into "Civil War II" among a number of other compelling developments.

And while there's something happening in every book Marvel is releasing in June, some twists, turns and revelations stand out a little bit more than others. Here are the big developments that stood out to us.

  • The solicits for the first two issues of "Civil War II" offer new information about the crossover; a precognitive Inhuman will be the impetus for the conflict and Tony Stark will declare "war on the Inhumans" in "Civil War II" #2.
  • Additionally, "Civil War II" #1 is 56 pages long and listed at $5.99.
  • A number of titles will get "Civil War II" tie-in issues in June, including "Deadpool" #14, "Totally Awesome Hulk" #7, "Uncanny Inhumans" #11, "Captain Marvel" #6, "Ms. Marvel" #8, "Captain America: Sam Wilson" #10, "Ultimates" #8, "New Avengers" #12 and "Nova" #8.
  • Four new series will debut in June: "Vote Loki," "Deadpool vs. Gambit," "Han Solo" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation."
  • Thanos returns to Earth in "Ultimates" #8.
  • Bruce Banner's fate will be revealed in "Totally Awesome Hulk" #7.
  • Old Man Logan and the new Wolverine will meet in "All-New Wolverine" #8.
  • The search for Nova's missing father will begin in "All-New, All-Different Avengers" #10.
  • Janet Van Dyne will return in "Uncanny Avengers" #10.
  • Artist Annie Wu returns to Marvel with "Scarlet Witch" #7.
  • "Comedy Bang Bang" host Scott Aukerman will write the Hollywood-themed "Spider-Man/Deadpool" #6, which will feature guest art from Reilly Brown.
  • "Spider-Gwen Annual" #1 will include appearances from Spider-Ham, She-Hulk, Captain America and more.
  • Howard the Duck will go back to his home planet in "Howard the Duck" #8.
  • "Silver Surfer" celebrates its cumulative 200th issue with an oversized offering.
  • "Drax" #8 will see the return of his ex-sidekick (and "Avengers Arena" survivor) Cammi, as well as an appearance from Planet Terry (one of the stars of Marvel's '80s Star Comics line).
  • Agent Coulson will battle Grant Ward in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." #8.
  • "Mockingbird" #4 will see Hawkeye guest star in his ex-wife's book.
  • Jessica Jones will appear in "Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!" #7.
  • Lovers-turned-enemies Psylocke and Fantomex will reunite in "Uncanny X-Men" #8-9
  • Lady Deathstrike and the Reavors will terrorize Logan in "Old Man Logan" #7.
  • Season 2 of "Marvel's Agent Carter" will get a "Declassified" hardcover slipcase book featuring photos, interviews and more.
  • Writer Paul Crilley's "Daredevil: The Man Without Fear" hardcover prose novel will adapt the classic miniseries of the same name by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.
