Chronicle Screenwriter Max Landis Lands Space Pitch at Disney

Max Landis has been writing since the tender age of 16, with his first professional work coming two years later when he and father John Landis collaborated on an episode of Masters of Horror called “Deer Woman.” On Feb. 3 his first Hollywood feature, Fox’s “found footage” superpower movie Chronicle, will arrive in theaters.

That’s not all he has in the works, though. In addition to a Frankenstein script for Fox and an action-comedy called Good Time Gang, Variety reports Landis just landed an unnamed space drama at Disney.

The story revolves around a brother and sister who go on an epic journey. Details are sparse at this point, but don’t be surprised if the property gets a big push from the studio, which is always looking for the next Pirates of the Caribbean franchise to blow up into a slew of merchandising and theme park tie-ins.
