Marvel fans will get to see the Guardians of the Galaxy cross paths with Earth's Mightiest Heroes in "Avengers: Infinity War." However, if Chris Pratt had his way, Star-Lord would also come face to face with a more down-to-earth character.

While promoting "The Magnificent Seven" at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actor was asked which Marvel hero he'd most like for Peter Quill to meet in the 2018 ensemble film.

Initially hesitant, Pratt told We Got This Covered, "God, I don't even know -- I don't even know the right answer to that, because if I say the wrong thing, I'll get in trouble by Marvel or by the fans."

However, he then admitted, "I would like Peter Quill to meet the Punisher." While acknowledging that Frank Castle isn't a member of the Avengers, Pratt added, "If we're talking Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think it would be cool for Peter Quill to -- Punisher was my favorite growing up."

Played by "The Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal, the Punisher was introduced in the second season of Netflix's "Daredevil" ahead of a planned solo series.

Although many fans have lobbied for Marvel's television heroes to appear in "Infinity War," co-director Anthony Russo explained such a crossover would be "complicated."

When we start to serialize the telling of stories it’s difficult. You have to have a lot of control and focus on the course of history. The films are controlled by a group led by Kevin Feige, so they function as a unit."

"Avengers: Infinity War" opens May 4, 2018.
