The first clip from the upcoming Child's Play reboot features the debut of Mark Hamill's bone-chilling portrayal of the eponymous homicidal doll.

The clip begins with a visibly frightened Andy reaching for a baseball bat as Chucky taunts him from somewhere in his home. As Andy swings wildly, Chucky lets out a terrifying "Peekaboo" while approaching the boy's feet.

Hamill was first announced for the Child's Play reboot in March, and the film will bring a modernized version of Chucky to the big screen. This time around, though, the Good Guys doll from the original 1988 film is being upgraded to a Buddi doll, which is described as an "Artificial Intelligence human companion." Hamill will portray the evil entity that inhabits one of the Buddi dolls manufactured by the Kaslan Corporation, a leading manufacturer of interactive tech products.

Based on characters by Don Mancini, Child's Play is written by Tyler Burton Smith and directed by Lars Klevberg. Scheduled to release on June 21, the film stars Aubrey Plaza, Mark Hamill, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman.
