Forget all of those futuristic concept cars. Today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Chevrolet unveiled the vehicle everyone is dying to see: a life-size version of the LEGO Batmobile.

Created by students, in conjunction with A World in Motion and First LEGO League, the 17-foot replica is of course part of a promotion for Warner Bros.' upcoming "LEGO Movie" spinoff "The LEGO Batman Movie."

It doesn't end with the model itself, however. The automaker has launched a complete minisite for the LEGO Batmobile that includes the kind of information you might expect for the marketing of a real vehicle, including performance and safety details, and comparisons with other vehicles. Needless to say, the LEGO Batmobile is probably a better investment than, say, The Joker's Notorious Lowrider or The Riddler Race.

But a car with black leather interiors, WiFi and flight capability is going to cost you -- to the tune of $48 million. For that kind of money, you may have to seek out a certain billionaire playboy for help with financing.

There's also an entertaining promo spot, in which Will Arnett's Brick Knight becomes a bit defensive as a focus group comments on what kind of person would drive Chevy's new LEGO Batmobile. Y'know, a loner with self-esteem issues and few friends.

Directed by Chris McKay from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, the 3D animated spinoff of “The LEGO Movie” features a Batman who must overcome his fear of being part of a family, take responsibility for his adopted son, and learn the importance of teamwork if he hopes to stop The Joker’s takeover of Gotham City.

Opening Feb. 10, “The LEGO Batman Movie” stars Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as Joker, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Mariah Carey as Mayor McCasskill, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn and Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face.
