With just over three months until "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" rockets onto movie screens across the country, the cast and filmmakers are hard at work putting the finishing touches on the Marvel movie. One of those finishing touches is the recording of additional dialogue. In addition to meeting up with Gamora actor Zoe Saldana one more time, director James Gunn got a bonus treat: he got to see the gift Michael Rooker gave Saldana when "Guardians" wrapped filming.

Rooker, who returns as the alien scavenger/mercenary Yondu in the sequel, gave Saldana a pair of shoes with her Marvel character on them. Gunn finally got to see the kicks up close and in person, and then shared a pic of them on his Facebook page. The shoes feature Gamora in her classic comic book look.

Gunn points out that this gift is way better than what he got as a wrap present from Rooker, which was a "naked self-portrait 8 foot by 10 foot canvas wall hanging."

Opening May 5, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan.
