With news of Syfy’s cancellation of the Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica and, just last week, Stargate Universe, I’d nearly forgotten that other BSG prequel Blood and Chrome. You, too, huh? Perhaps sensing that the upcoming series has dropped off the radar, the cable network has released the first concept art to its official blog Blastr — and it’s a little bit insane.
As you may or may not recall, Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome is set during the 10th year of the First Cylon War as brash young viper pilot William Adama finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet … the Galactica.
The concept art for the two-hour pilot movie shifts somewhere between impressive and downright bizarre, with the images of the homicidal female Cylon made of tissue and metal and the enormous Cylon snake falling squarely in “bizarre” territory.
