2011’s Comic-Con International in San Diego is now a memory, but the sights and sounds of the show continue to burn bright in the minds of those who attended the annual SoCal pop culture event. That said, it’s never too early to look back on the frenzy and mayhem that took place at and about San Diego’s world famous convention center, and Comic Book Resources is happy to help you relive, or, if you weren’t able to make it this year, experience vicariously the happy insanity!
First up is Preview Night! Once an event attended solely by the hardcore con-goers, Wednesday evening’s CCI experience is now as busy and vital to the show as its four “official” days. This year, Dark Horce took full advantage of the night by unveiling three new titles to be launched in the months ahead — Tom Morello’s “Orchid,” PC Cast’s “House of Night” and Guillermo del Toro’s “The Strain” — while the off-site, con-adjacent event known as Tr!ckster debuted with no small amount of fanfare and excitement of its own!
As always, CBR’s Executive Producer Jonah Weiland — AKA the Big Dog AKA Get Over Yourself — provides commentary and some good-natured snark to the photos taken by CBR Staff Photographer Pinguino Kolb. Remember, this is just the beginning – we have many more photos from Thursday through Sunday to come!
