Joe Menosky, who wrote episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Deep Space Nine" and "Voyager," has boarded CBS's upcoming "Star Trek" television revival.

The news comes from TrekMovie.com, which reports he'll be joined by Aron Coleite, best known for his work on NBC's "Heroes" and Marvel's "Ultimate X-Men" comic series. Menosky's credits include such "Next Generation" favorites as "Darmok" and "Time's Arrow."

Announced in November, the CBS revival is set to premiere early next year on the network’s digital platform CBS All Access. Although few details have been revealed, the series is rumored to be set sometime following the events of 1991's "Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country." A teaser released last month promises "New Crews. New Villains. New Heroes. New Worlds."

The new "Star Trek" will be overseen by Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller, with a writing staff that also includes "Wrath of Khan" director Nicholas Meyer and longtime “Star Trek: Voyager” novelist Kirsten Beyer.
