Comic book writer and screenwriter Brian Lynch made his inaugural visit to the world famous CBR Tiki Room at WonderCon 2015 in Anaheim, CA, ready to talk with Albert Ching about "Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return," his new comic series from BOOM! Studios based on the classic film franchise. An admitted superfan of the original films, Lynch talked about how his enthusiasm for the property made him sign on to write the series despite a schedule that wouldn't allow it, what the research entailed and the darkness of the live-action "Bill & Ted" TV show that once found the best friends as enemies on opposite sides of the law.

Lynch & North Talk Jamming on "Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return"

"It's the most fun comic to write, and I'm not just -- I'm sure everyone says that -- but I love it. I absolutely love it," Lynch said of working on the second ever "Bill & Ted" comic series. "When they approached me about writing the book it was just for a six-page backup to begin with. I immediately jumped on, like I really wanted to do it. And they said, 'Do you want to do the main series?' [which is] the first seventeen pages in each issue, and I couldn't believe it. Like "Yes," immediate. With my work schedule I knew I couldn't, and as I was e-mailing back, 'Guys, I really can't,' words were coming out in the e-mail, 'I would love to.' I had to do it. I had to do this book. I love these characters."
