While some television shows have a red carpet for big premieres, the cast and crew of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” spoke with CBR’s Terri Schwartz on the dead carpet to discuss the upcoming premiere of Season Three on October 14. Series creator Robert Kirkman, producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert, showrunner Glen Mazzara and stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), David Morrissey (The Governor) and Laurie Holden (Andrea) discussed the introduction of one of “The Walking Dead’s” most popular villains, The Governor.
“You say villain, I say he’s somebody doing all he can to protect his own people,” Morrissey told CBR TV of his character. “The main thing about it is that he’s someone who wants to keep his people safe and secure, and he has to make some very tough decisions about that. So, no, I wouldn’t call him a villain myself.”
“The Walking Dead” Season Three premieres Sunday, October 14 on AMC.
