Artist Dan Mora, who is collaborating with Danny DeVito on a special Penguin story for Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1, shared a peek at his designs for Catwoman and the Penguin on Twitter. Both villains served as antagonists in 1992's Batman Returns, which marked the last time DeVito was associated with the Penguin. Mora's art for Selina Kyle and Oswald Cobblepot show the pair in their current costumes, indicating that the story in Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant will likely take place in mainstream DC continuity rather than the world of director Tim Burton's movie.RELATED: Major Issues: Batman Returns to Tim Burton’s World & the Defenders Assemble

The unique collaboration between DeVito and Mora was overseen by DC's Batman editor Paul Kaminski, who tweeted that it had "been one of the coolest experiences of my life."

Aside from his Penguin story with DeVito, Mora has also been the lead artist on Detective Comics alongside writer Mariko Tamaki. Most recently, in Detective Comics #1041, he illustrated Batman's classic blue, gray and yellow oval costume, which the character has not consistently worn outside of flashbacks since 1999.

Mora's story, featuring a script from DeVito, will appear in Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1. The book contains stories showcasing the Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Talia al Ghul, the Mad Hatter, Killer Moth, and the original Red Hood. The 96-page one-shot goes on sale Nov. 30.
