Carrie Fisher Strikes Back at Criticism of Her Appearance in ‘The Force Awakens’

Fed up with derogatory online comments about they way she looked in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Carrie Fisher fired back at her detractors: “My BODY hasn’t aged as well as I have. Blow us.” Hey, she killed Jabba the Hutt with her bare hands; she’s a force to be reckoned with.

The 63-year-old actress, who reprises her role as Princess General Leia in the Disney blockbuster, said the negative remarks about her physical appearance have grown tiresome, tweeting:

Fisher recently revealed she was pressured to lose weight for her “Force Awakens” role, saying, “Nothing changes, it’s an appearance-driven thing. I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance. That is so messed up. They might as well say get younger, because that’s how easy it is.”

The actress, who was 21 years old when she originated the role of Leia in 1977’s “Star Wars,” added Tuesday on Twitter:
