Marvel Studios officially unveiled the first concept art of actress Brie Larson as Captain Marvel during its Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego this past July, however, the artwork was never officially released online leaving fans to share the lower-res version until then. Unfortunately, though, it appears it'll be some time before we get a high-quality version of the concept art, as concept artist Andy Park took to Twitter today to reveal he's not able to share the higher-res artwork just yet. RELATED: RUMOR: Mar-Vell Plays A Role in Captain Marvel Film.Park, who is known to share some of his Marvel Studios concept art on his Twitter page from time to time, did state he'd post the hi-res image once he was given the go-ahead. For now, though, he posted what is our best look yet at what Larson will look like in the Captain Marvel costume.

The concept art promises a comics-accurate look, with the exception of Carol's famous sash, which has since been replaced with what looks to be a more practical utility belt of sorts.

Filming is expected to kick off on Captain Marvel beginning in January in California, rather than Atlanta, Georgia, where Marvel has typically set up shop in recent years. As of right now, additional casting for the film has not yet been revealed outside of confirmation that Samuel L. Jackson will return as Nick Fury in the film.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve, the film stars Brie Larson in the titular role. Captain Marvel arrives March 8, 2019.
