Capcom is developing an arcade game based on the hit manga and anime series Attack on Titan.

The game publisher made the announcement today during a presentation at Japan Amusement Expo 2015, but offered no further details. Kotaku notes it's unclear whether the game will see international release, but more information is expected this summer.

Debuting in 2012, Hajime Isayama's dark fantasy is set in a dystopian were flesh-eating giants called Titans have driven the last remnants of humanity to live behind enormous walls. The manga has been an international hit, boosted by the 2013 debut of the anime series, leading to a metric ton of merchandise, spinoffs and tie-ins, including Universal Studios Japan's Attack on Titan attraction, and the immersive stadium game.

Spike Chunsoft debuted the Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind action game in December 2013 for Nintendo 3DS, while the Blu-ray releases of the anime have included bonus visual novel games. In addition, there have been several social games released in Japan.

Nexon announced last month that it's incorporating Attack on Titan into the world of the popular free-to-play MMORPG MapleStory through special themed content.
