NBC's Hannibal has enlisted The Kids in the Hall alum Scott Thompson in its hunt for serial killers, The Live Feed reports.

Developed by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller, the midseason drama fleshes out the backstory of Thomas Harris’ 1981 novel Red Dragon, exploring the relationship between brilliant young psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter (played by Casino Royale‘s Mads Mikkelsen) and FBI profiler Will Graham (Confession of a Shopaholic‘s Hugh Dancy) as they solve crimes together.

The network has already committed to a 13-episode first-season order.

Thompson is will play Jimmy Price, a fingerprint and blood splatter analyst who works on Laurence Fishburne's FBI Behavioral Science Unit along with Young Adult's Hettienne Park and L.A. Complex's Aaron Abrams.
