Tommy Lee Jones will star opposite Matt Damon in Universal Pictures' new Jason Bourne movie.

Although no details are known about the film's plot or the veteran Jones' involvement, The Hollywood Reporter contends the script calls for "an established actor in an authoritative bureaucratic role."

Paul Greengrass, who helmed 2007's “The Bourne Ultimatum” and 2004’s “The Bourne Supremacy” is back to direct and co-write the new installment of the franchise. Julia Stiles will reprise her role as Nicky Parsons, joined by "Ex Machina" actress Alicia Vikander.

The four movies in the spy-thriller series, which includes the 2012 spinoff “The Bourne Legacy,” have grossed a combined $1.2 billion. The still-untitled new installment is set for release on July 29, 2016.
