The most recent Line it is Drawn was a special edition where our artists just drew suggestions based on ideas that a 4-year-old girl had. Former longtime Line it is Drawn artist Bill Walko is in the midst of doing a Kickstarter for a collection of his excellent web comic, The Hero Business, so I thought it would be fun to ask Bill to contribute a bonus piece (based on Amelia’s suggestion of Wonder Woman fighting dinosaurs) that could also see Wonder Woman meeting characters from Bill’s Hero Business!
Great stuff, Bill, and a good example of the kind of humor you’ll find in Bill’s awesome comic, The Hero Business.
The Hero Business is basically a marketing group for superheroes. It is like a mix between Damage Control and The Office, as there is a lot of humor found in both the inter-office interactions and the general humor of being a marketing team for superheroes (as Bill terms it, “with great power comes great marketability!”)
I gave the comic a rave review soon after it started (well before Bill even joined The Line) and it has only gotten better over time!
The collection that he is raising funds to print comes complete with six complete storylines and a bunch of “Coffee Breaks” (essentially one-off gag strips, like this…
The book also comes with some guest strips by some of your favorite Line it is Drawn artists from the past and present (he has had guest spots from Nick Perks, Axel Medellin, Caanan Grall, Derek Langille, David Branstetter, Sean McFarland, Chaz, Fernando Pinto, Xum Yukinori, Mic? and Thea Sousa over the years!)
Here‘s the Kickstarter drive if you’re interested in pledging like I did.
