Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth are no longer the only stars in the Bones universe, as Fox's forensic investigation series is getting company in the form of a developing spinoff show.

Deadline reports that Hart Hanson, creator and executive producer of Bones, is working with Fox on developing a spinoff series based on a new recurring character debuting on the December 6 episode of the current season. The series would be based on Richard Greener's novels "The Locator," which focus on Walter Sherman, "an eccentric, obstreperous and amusing reclusive man in his late 20s-30s with highly sought after abilities to find anything. He is skeptical of every statement and often asks offensive, seemingly irrelevant questions which oddly enough turn out to be extremely relevant."

A former military policeman, Sherman was honorably discharged after an injury led to brain damage and a constant state of paranoia. Sherman has ties to Booth (David Boreanaz), but the two are said to dislike each other intensely. A casting search for the role remains ongoing.
