The powerful mutant Storm has a long history and deep bond with both the X-Men and Black Panther. But while their relationship has gone through its share of ups and downs in the core-Marvel Universe, it's resulted in some powerful families in others.

Black Panther and Storm have had multiple children across the multiverse, suggesting the pair having a child might be a universal constant. But with Mephisto's vision of the possible future, there are two that might be the most likely to be born on Earth-616.

Across the multiverse, Storm and Black Panther's children have typically proven themselves as heroes. In the second volume of Exiles, T'Chaka II was introduced as his world's young hero, Panther. A more pop-culture-obsessed teen hero than one would expect from the typically taciturn Black Panther legacy, Panther nevertheless proved himself as a capable and quick-thinking member of the reality-hopping team while his sister Sh'ri became a legendary Panther in her own right. In the timeline introduced across the "Black to the Future" storylines where Storm and Black Panther effectively took control of the world, their many mutant children became vital global figures -- with their sons Tchaka and T'Wari marrying Danielle Cage and one of Namor's daughters in this reality respectively.

One of the most powerful potential children of Black Panther and Storm was introduced during the Battle of the Atom crossover, which introduced a potential future timeline where the mutant community had further splintered after the assassination of the newly elected President, Alison Blare (aka Dazzler). Among the X-Men were Kymera, a skilled tracker and warrior who inherited more of her father's abilities than her mother's -- and even has a sidekick in the form of a massive panther. Of Storm's potential children, Kymera has gotten the most time with the core-Marvel Universe version of Storm -- with Kymera briefly spending time with the X-Men following the events of Battle of the Atom before venturing off on her own.

In the world of Next Avengers, Ultron wiped out the majority of the heroes before reducing the planet to a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The children of the Avengers proved to be among the few left who could stand in opposition to him -- including Azari T'Challa, the son of Black Panther and Storm. On top of inheriting enhanced physical attributes thanks to his father's physiology being boosted thanks to the Heart-Shaped Herb, Azari also gained a form of electrokinesis from his mother -- allowing him to produce electricity either offensively (as blasts of energy) or defensively (as force fields). Azari and Kymera might be the most likely of Storm and Black Panther's hypothetical children to be born in the current Marvel Universe, as Mephisto's vision of a triumphant future included Azari and Kymera's respective teammates.

Each of these potential children offered a unique future for Black Panther and Storm, further bonding them together and potentially cementing a greater alliance between Wakanda and the X-Men. While none of Storm's children have seemed to showcase the same Omega-Level capabilities as her, each of them represents a different set of enhanced skills and heroism. Considering the possibility that Marvel's future might come crashing down on the present sooner than anyone expects -- along with the teases from Timeless that Storm might eventually take up the mantle of Black Panther herself, codifying her place in the Wakandan royal family once again -- it's important to consider how such a union could impact the core-Marvel Universe.
