When you think of Black Dynamite, the first comparison that comes to mind is Monty Python, right? That's the idea that Michael Jai White and his fellow co-writers Byron Mills and Scott Sanders (who also directed) envisioned when they created the blaxploitation satire, which debuted in 2009 and spawned an animated series and a graphic novel.

"In the inception of Black Dynamite there were a few type[s] of ideas we were going to do," White told Crave Online at the premiere of Alex Cross. "Kind of like Monty Python, use the same cast but do different type[s] of movies. We had discussed, and it looks like we're getting closer to the decision of something that would be an homage to Blazing Saddles. [...] It's a Western comedy in that spirit of Blazing Saddles, but you mix that with Buck and the Preacher."

While that's not a lot of detail, it's safe to assume White will return along with co-writer and director Sanders, plus most of the original cast, including Arsenio Hall, Kevin Chapman, Tommy Davidson and Obba Babatundé.
