A new actor has been added to the already growing cast of "Alien: Covenant," Ridley Scott's "Prometheus"/"Alien" film that debuts in 2017.

Benjamin Rigby, whose work includes "Green Eyed," "That's Not Me," and "Plauge," will join previously cast Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, and Danny McBride. "Alien: Covenant," which is being labeled as a "Prometheus" sequel and an "Alien" prequel, will round out the larger world of the "Alien" universe.

"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

"Alien: Covenant" hits theaters October 6, 2017.
