The Dark Knight will land in theaters sometime in 2018. Speaking to Deadline, Warner Bros.' former President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman dropped big news about Ben Affleck's solo outing in "The Batman."

"Then in 2018, there is a second 'Fantastic Beasts' film, and 'Ready Player One' feels like an ambitious movie by the world’s best filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, that will set the world on fire. There is 'Aquaman' with James Wan, and 'Scooby Doo' will be a huge launch and then there is 'LEGO Ninjago.' And then there is Ben Affleck’s 'Batman,'" he revealed when speaking about the studio's upcoming projects.

Of course, since it's still so far off, such a date is always subject to change. Earlier today, Affleck revealed that shooting on the film wouldn't even begin until spring 2017, so there's plenty of time for schedules to move. After all, "The Flash" was supposed to drop in 2018 but has since been removed from the schedule, and rumor has it that "Justice League 2" has been pushed back to make way for "The Batman." For now, though, we can expect the Dark Knight to return in his own feature film in 2018.

Before we see Affleck suit up as the Dark Knight in his own solo film, he’ll star in the Zack Snyder-directed “Justice League” alongside Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller, due to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
