‘Believe’: New Smallville Promo Breaks Out Superman Score

Entertainment Weekly has debuted The CW’s new promo spot for the final episode of Smallville, one that employs the opening notes of “The Planet Krypton” from John Williams’ legendary Superman score.

Teamed with a soaring “S” shield, Tom Welling’s “I finally know who I am” voiceover, and the word “Believe,” it’s enough to work longtime viewers into a tizzy. If, after all of that — to say nothing of the previous hints, or the latest teaser poster! — the audience doesn’t see Clark don the costume and fly away in the May 13 finale, Smallville producers may have a riot on their hands.
