Assuming you’re not trapped in an alternate dimension, you’ve probably heard that the “Arrow”-verse is having a bit of alien trouble. Heroes and villains from across all four of The CW’s DCTV shows are uniting to combat a mind-controlling race from outer space called the Dominators. Now, thanks to Reddit user MulciberTenebras, you can check out Todd McFarlane’s initial artwork, which was used to tease the comic miniseries that the crossover is based on: “Invasion!”
Reminiscent of 50’s style horror movie posters, the teaser poster places the towering image of a Dominator over a fleeing crowd with bold words asking the readers to “See,” “Witness” and “Behold” the Dominator’s arrival on Earth. The “Invasion!” miniseries was published by DC Comics in the late 1980s and featured the Dominators as the main villain, though they were joined by several familiar species including the Thanagarians, the Daxamites and more.
The CW’s adaption of “Invasion!” kicked off in last night’s “Supergirl” and will continue in “The Flash” and “Arrow.” The storyline will conclude in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.”
Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, “Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The network is also home to Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster in “The Flash,” airing Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT, Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer in “Arrow,” airing Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT and Arthur Darvill, Brandon Routh and Caity Lotz in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” airing Thursdays at 8 pm ET/PT.
