This fall, The CW will explore the rise of Kate Kane's Batwoman.After the release of the series' first trailer, The CW followed up with a promo that focused on the heroic acts of Kate Kane, the woman. Although Ruby Rose made her debut as a full-fledged Batwoman in last year's "Elseworlds," the first season of the series is set to take place before the events of the Arrowverse crossover and will feature the character's origin as Gotham City's newest caped crusader.

In Batwoman, Kate Kane will take to the rooftops of Gotham to face the rise of Alice and the Wonderland Gang in a despondent city void of hope.

Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT and premieres Oct. 6.
