With both DC and Marvel vying for the same demographic at the box office, it isn't entirely surprising that both entertainment giants have taken a different approach to their shared universes. While the DC Extended Universe has often been labeled gritty and dark, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has often been dubbed light and witty. This is why the fan-made Batman v Superman opening in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the perfect balance.

The fan-created opening credits come after another fan turned Batman v Superman into a buddy cop film, managing to turn the film into a much lighter superhero flick over the course of three minutes.

Although panned by critics, Batman v Superman proved to be a success for DC and Warner Bros. as it went on to earn $873 million worldwide at the box office. Up next for the DC Extended Universe is Wonder Woman, which will see Gal Gadot reprise her role as the Amazonian Princess from Batman v Superman ahead of her character's appearance in this year's Justice League.
