One of the biggest complaints about "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is that it was not only overstuffed but also needlessly gritty. It's a recurring criticism with director Zack Snyder's films, including 2013's "Man of Steel." Well, now thanks to a fan, we have an idea of what the film might've looked like had it been treated as a classic buddy-cop film in the vein of "Lethal Weapon." Surprisingly, it works pretty well.

Created by ChiefBrodyRules, the trailer was inspired by "Sam Gavin suggesting a 'Holly Hunter Incredibles Joke," which spawned into this 3 minute video."

With Warner Bros. purportedly approaching the planned "Green Lantern Corps" as a buddy-cup film, perhaps the studio can take some inspiration from this fan trailer. Still in the early stages, that film has brought on David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes screenwriters, with rumors indicating Goyer could also direct.
