Following a big box office turn out on Monday, Deadline has reported that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" added another $12.2 million to its domestic box office gross on Tuesday. This breaks the box office record for a Tuesday in March, a record previously set by "The Hunger Games" ($10.3M).

Tuesday's earnings bring the film's domestic total to $193.27M and the film is expected to cross $200M today. Deadline adds that "BvS" saw a 19% decrease in ticket sales from Monday to Tuesday. Worldwide, the film added another $46M to it's global box office total.

"BvS" big Tuesday wasn't big enough to wrest the record for best pre-summer Tuesday from last year's "Furious 7," which still holds that record with $13.3M.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is now playing in theaters.
