Writer: Christofer Emgård

Artist: Mattias Häggström

Art and Cover: Robert Sammelin

Colorist: Dan Jackson

Dark Horse has released some solid to great video game adaptations, including the recent "The Witcher" and "EVE" series. "Mirror's Edge: Exordium," the publisher's latest game-based project, focuses on Faith, one of the most celebrated player characters in "Mirror's Edge." Faith's front-and-center role is sure to please hardcore fans and may also act as a gateway for new readers to the world of this very popular game.

"Scooby-Doo Team-Up" #12

Writer: Sholly Fisch

Art and Cover: Dario Brizuela

Mystery Inc. has met Batman and Robin a few times over the years, but "Scooby-Doo Team-Up" #12 marks the first time the Scooby Snack-munching crime stoppers have encountered Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Writer Sholly Fisch has been delivering some of purest super hero action on the stands in the pages of his team-up title, so prepare to share an oversized sandwich with Shaggy and Scooby -- if they get out of their encounter with the Gotham City Sirens in one piece that is.

"Green Lantern Annual" #4

Writer: Robert Venditti

Artist: Pascal Alixe

Cover: Ian Churchill

June's "Green Lantern" #41 presented some major changes to Hal Jordan and the world of the Green Lanterns. In September, writer Robert Venditti and his artistic partner Pascal Alixe will show fans how some of these major status quo shifts -- including that the Green Lantern Corps is no more -- all went down. Hal has an awesome new look and a fascinating new mission, and this "GL Annual" promises to reveal how this new era of Green Lantern coolness came about. In this annual, a new force will rise to take the Corps' place. That's certainly worth buzzing about.

"Batman" #44

Writer: Scott Snyder

Art and Cover: Jock

Like "Green Lantern," DC's core "Batman" title has enjoyed a major upheaval with James Gordon taking up the mantle of the bat. Lately, it seems every issue of Scott Snyder's new "Batman" book is buzzworthy, but this issue even has even more to get Bat fans pumped as Snyder will be teaming with his "Wytches" collaborator -- the great Jock -- to present a further exploration into Batman's newest villain-Mr. Bloom. Snyder and Jock have crafted some very atmospheric tales in their hit Image horror book, and having the duo re-team on Batman following their acclaimed "The Black Mirror" storyline in the pre-New 52 "Detective Comics" brings an extra layer of excitement to this already notable title. Regular artist Greg Capullo has been breaking new ground on "Batman" month after month, but Jock and his unique brand of sequential terror is certainly a more than worthy fill-in to keep "Batman's" momentum going strong.

"Captain America White" #1-2

Writer: Jeph Loeb

Art and Cover: Tim Sale

Seven years ago, Marvel announced the newest project from the legendary creative team of "Daredevil: Yellow" and "Hulk: Grey," Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb. "Captain America: White" was to be a deep and emotional look into life of Steve Rogers in the same vein as Loeb and Sale's other color-themed books. But after "Captain America: White" was announced and worked fans into a frenzy... there was nothing. In the intervening years, Marvel built a movie empire, Bucky returned and became Captain America, Steve Rogers was aged and Sam Wilson also took up the mantle of the Sentinel of Liberty. It seems like a lifetime ago doesn't it? But now, after all that action in comics and in film, "Captain America: White" has finally landed on Marvel's publishing schedule and fans can find out that anything that Loeb and Sale craft together will probably be worth the wait. What more can Cap fans ask for than a Golden Age-Inspired tale of Cap and Bucky that also features the Howling Commandos.

"Journey To Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Shattered Empire" #1-2

Writer: Greg Rucka

Artist: Marco Checchetto

Cover: Phil Noto

This latest Marvel installment of the "Star Wars" saga has three major things going for it that makes it one of the most buzzworthy books of the year. First, Marvel's "Star Wars" books have been so superlative that any new addition to the line is worthy of consideration. Second, "Journey To Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Shattered Empire" will be the first step on the final leg of the campaign that leads to the long awaited new cinematic installment of the "Star Wars" saga. Third, it's damn exciting to see acclaimed writer Greg Rucka lending his considerable talents to "Star Wars." Rucka's recent work on "Lazarus," "Cyclops" and "Convergence: The Question" has been some of the best of his career and we cannot wait to see what he brings to the galaxy far, far away. This new "Star Wars" title will also take place post-"Return of the Jedi," an era fans have been dying to experience since Disney took control of the franchise.

Sean Murphy has been making waves in the indie world for years before bringing his talents mainstream with books like "Punk Rock Jesus" and "The Wake" for Vertigo and most recently "Chrononauts" for Image. Now, this creative pairing will introduce "Tokyo Ghost," a dystopian look at society's aversion to the natural world and its addiction to technology. Remender's creator-owned work has been some of the most innovative sci-fi and action-adventure on the market. Add Murphy's sense of design and his ability to visually construct thrilling new worlds and you get what is sure to be Image's next big hit.

"Plutona" #1

Writer: Jeff Lemire and Emi Lenox

Art and Cover: Emi Lenox

It seems every month, we present a bit of buzzworthy greatness from Jeff Lemire. It's with good reason, considering Lemire has become one of the greatest idea machines in modern comics. In September, Lemire and webcomics star Emi Lenox will present a very different super hero title with "Plutona." This deconstructionist take mixes super heroes with "Stand By Me" as a group of children discover the corpse of the world's greatest super hero -- Plutona. Based on the concept, we hope to experience another round of Lemire brilliance as he continues to break new ground in whatever genre he chooses to explore.
