Batman: The Animated Series will be released as a remastered Blu-ray collection in 2018 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, as announced Sunday afternoon at New York Comic Con.

The collection was announced during the "Batman: The Animated Series 25th Anniversary" panel, with long-time animation publicist Gary Miereanu informing the crowd. No details such as release date or price point were confirmed, but Miereanu said it'll be "later" in 2018.

This news comes after 1993's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, the theatrically released animated feature birthed from the success of Batman: The Animated Series, was released as a remastered Blu-ray this past July.

The full runs of both Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures were released as a DVD set in 2008, as Batman: The Complete Animated Series.

Batman: The Animated Series debuted in 1992, and stands as one of the most acclaimed adaptations of comic books to another medium, including winning four Emmy Awards. The original series ran from 1992 to 1995, with follow-up series The New Batman Adventures airing from 1997 to 1999, for a total of 109 episodes. The panel celebrating the show's 25th anniversary was attended by Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, The New Batman Adventures Batgirl voice actor Tara Strong, and Batman: The Animated Series producers Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett.
