The new series will be written by Scott Snyder ("Batman," "All-Star Batman") and Steve Orlando ("Midnighter and Apollo," "Justice League of America"), with art from Riley Rossmo ("Batman," "Constantine: The Hellblazer").

“Batman is a myth that transcends the comic book page and inspires us to achieve, while The Shadow is the cornerstone of so much of the pop culture and comics we see today,” Orlando said in an official statement. “To bring together the World’s Greatest Detective and the World’s Greatest Mystery is an honor.”

Murder has come to Gotham and the Dark Knight discovers a trail of evidence that leads to suspect Lamont Cranston. The problem is that Cranston has been dead for 50 years. As Batman works on the mystery of Cranston's life, the Shadow will do everything he can to stop Batman from learning too much.
