One of the biggest losses Batman has suffered during the DC Rebirth era is the brutal murder of his father figure Alfred Pennyworth.Alfred's death and its impact on the rest of the Bat Family will be explored in the upcoming oversized one-shot, Batman: Pennyworth R.I.P. #1, on sale next month. DC Comics shared an unlettered preview of a short story by Peter J. Tomasi, Chris Burnham and Nathan Fairbairn that focuses on Damian Wayne's memories of Alfred. The upcoming special will feature vignettes about each member of the Bat Family remembering their own experiences with Alfred prior to his death at the hands of Bane. With Alfred serving as a warmer, more welcoming parental figure than Bruce Wayne, each of the Bat Family -- including Damian -- are sure to each have heartwarming moments of the dearly departed butler.
