Good news, DC Comics fans -- the upcoming Batman and Justice League manga has finally secured a release date.

The manga was originally announced back in March by DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson and publisher Jim Lee during a presentation for media and business partners in Japan. The upcoming Batman and Justice League manga will be written by Shiori Teshirogi and will launch in Champion RED magazine's next issue on June 19th. Characters confirmed to appear in the manga are: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern and Aquaman.

The launch of the Batman and Justice League manga is part of the comic giant's goal to reach a wider audience, and comes at a time when the Justice League is set to hit the big screen for the first time later this year. Teshirogi's Batman and Justice League series will be published monthly in Champion RED magazine and will center on the Justice League returning to Gotham to protect the world from the Joker and an alliance of super-villains.

Teshirogi is a well known manga artist who has worked on titles such a Kieli and Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas. This will be her first project for DC Comics.
