If you’ve been putting together a wish list based on product previews from Toy Fair 2017 in New York City, throw it away and start over, because the first release from NECA’s upcoming Versus line will likely earn a place at the top.
The new series features action figure two-packs inspired by classic comic book mashups, and what better place to start than with 1997’s “Batman/Aliens”? In the Dark Horse/DC Comics crossover, the Dark Knight comes face to face with alien/human hybrids created from DNA samples extracted inmates of Arkham Asylum, including The Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and Two-Face.
Guess which twisted rogue NECA has chosen to immortalize for its Versus debut. Why, yes, it is a 7-inch-scale xenomorph/Joker hybrid, packaged with Batman. Each action figure boasts more than 30 points of articulation, and the Joker Alien features a bendable tail. Batman, meanwhile, sports a fabric cape.
NECA is extremely excited to reveal the first in new series of action figure 2-packs inspired by classic comic book mash-ups! The first release in the “Versus” line comes from the 1997 Batman/Aliens comic book mini-series co-published by DC Comics and Dark Horse. In it, Batman faces strange new Aliens produced using DNA from some of Arkham Asylum’s deadliest inmates. The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Batman features a fabric cape, and the “Joker” Alien has a bendable tail. Window box packaging.
NECA’s Versus “Batman/Aliens” action figure two-pack is targeted for release in July. No price has been announced.
