According to Superhero Hype, the film will be shooting in April in New Orleans. “We assume that won’t be the only location they’ll be filming, but the studio must like the city after recently wrapping ‘Green Lantern’ there,” they write. No doubt some scenes will be shot in Chicago as the “Begins” series has used the Windy City as a surrogate for Gotham. Meanwhile, Morgan Freeman shares his thoughts (and lack of solid info) on the third film with MTV News:

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
Dominic Cooper talks with IGN about playing Howard Stark:
Starring Chris Evans, release date: July 22nd, 2011
Collider spoke with star Gemma Arterton about the film. “It’s always satisfying to play a contradiction and she is a massive contradiction, at all points in the film, apart from one bit, when she’s the most beautiful, covered in blood and sweat and she’s kind of broken. It’s so interesting,” she says of the title character. “At first, I didn’t really like her, but then, at the same time, I was intrigued by her. That’s why we talk about Tamara Drewe. We’re intrigued by her, but we don’t like her, necessarily. I also felt like it was one of the first things I’d read that was a really honest description of a modern woman. Often, you see a film and they paint it very clearly for you, who everybody is and what they want, and we need to do that. But, in this film, we don’t really know who Tamara is. Even at the end of the film, it seems like it’s all resolved, but it’s not really. She’s very complicated, and I like that.”

Deadline reports Sam Raimi has chosen the “Oz Begins” prequel as his next feature. “I’m told that Disney now expects Raimi to start production next year. Meanwhile, the studio has hired for rewrite duty David Lindsay-Abaire, who just adapted his Pulitzer Prize-winning play ‘Rabbit Hole’ into a drama that will be Lionsgate’s Oscar hope,” writes Deadline’s Mike Flemming. He also mentions Robert Downey Jr., the man everybody wants to play the Wizard, has not been locked down as star.

Kryptonsite has an interview with Justin Hartley about the direction Green Arrow will take this year. [SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON] “So Oliver tells everybody that he’s the Green Arrow. He has a press conference and is like ‘I’m Green Arrow.’ That’s going to happen soon, and then he feels all of the residual effects of that,” he says. “He thinks it’s a brilliant idea to let everybody know who he is.”
