In Batgirl #47, the Clown Prince of Crime made his war against Barbara Gordon as part of his ongoing "Joker War," which is the villain's ultimate plan to take down Batman. At the end of that issue, Barbara was badly injured while resisting Joker. Although that injury won't be permanent according to the solicitation text, DC has given CBR an exclusive first look at Cecil Castellucci, Robbi Rodriguez and Jordie Bellaire's Batgirl #48, which shows the aftermath of Joker's attack and the hero once again using a wheelchair.

You can see CBR's exclusive preview of Batgirl #48 below alongside the solicitation information for the book.
