Season 2 of "The Flash" ended by teasing fans with a taste "Flashpoint," as Barry Allen traveled to the past and saved his mother from the Reverse Flash -- incidentally changing his timeline majorly. As most comic book fans know, tinkering with time travel has lasting repercussions...and so much is clear in the newly revealed synopsis for the Season 3 premiere episode of "The Flash."

The official synopsis for the Season 3 premiere gives a look at how life has changed for Barry Allen since altering the timeline. Titled "What Would You Sacrifice To Have Everything You've Ever Wanted?", the episode will see Barry retired from being The Flash. His parents are alive, he has a hot date with Iris West, and Kid Flash is the new speedster of Central City. Everything's great -- except for the fact Barry is losing his powers and forgetting parts of his old life. The Reverse Flash will remind Barry there are serious repercussions for meddling with time, and Barry will soon have to make a choice on which universe he wants to live in...

WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER WANTED? — Barry (Grant Gustin) is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he’s asked Iris West (Candice Patton) on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.

"The Flash" Season 3 premieres Tuesday, October 4 at 8 pm EST on The CW.
