January's surprise hit sequel Bad Boys For Life is coming to home video by the end of March, making it the latest major Hollywood film to get its home release moved up.

Sony has confirmed the action/comedy sequel will be available on Digital HD on March 31, just two months after its Jan. 17 theatrical release.

The early home video release date comes after similar moves by Birds of Prey and The Invisible Man, as movie theaters shutter globally in the face of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A sequel to 2003's Bad Boys II, Bad Boys For Life was a critical and commercial success. The film currently holds a 77 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and earned it $419 million at the worldwide box office on a reported production budget of $90 million. Sony has confirmed a fourth installment in the franchise has been greenlit, with screenwriter Chris Bremner attached to write the sequel.
