Taking inspiration from the words of Detective Lowery, "Bad Boys'" third car-crashing, buddy-cop adventure will be titled: "Bad Boys for Life."

Stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith will reprise their roles from 1995's "Bad Boys" and 2003's "Bad Boys II" as fast-talking Miami narcotics detectives Burnett and Lowery in a pair of sequels.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the third film now also has a targeted Jan. 12, 2018, release after being shifted twice by Sony Pictures on two 2017 dates. The fourth "Bad Boys" film is aiming for release on July 3, 2019.

Michael Bay, who directed the first two installments in the franchise, won't return for "Bad Boys for Life." Instead, Joe Carnahan ("The Grey," "Smokin' Aces") will step behind the camera.
