Thomas Kretschmann might be a nice guy in real life, but you wouldn't know it from his work.

The German actor is already set to terrorize Earth's mightiest heroes as Baron von Strucker in The Avengers: Age of Ultron (and in many Marvel movies beyond, apparently), and now he has his eye on another villainous turn in Agent 47.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kretschmann has joined the new Hitman adaptation as the chairman of Syndicate International, an organization bent on creating "an army of unstoppable agents." He's just one of the film's villains, as Zachary Quinto is also aboard in an antagonist role. Rupert Friend of Homeland plays the titular Agent 47, a role originally earmarked for Paul Walker before his tragic death last fall.

Agent 47 is currently in production.
